as part of our still life project we were told to find a still life painting and recreate it in photoshop using different types of tools to change the tones and other subjects like the color and composition in the painting.
before doing this i had to learn how to use the different tools and skills i would need during my work .
these tools and skills are:
cropped and re-sized images
i did this by using the crop tool on the toolbar and to resize images and objects i pressed the command button and T.
this allowed me to move the objects to a specific size that seemed right.
adjusting colour-hue saturation
this skill/tool allowed me to switch the saturation of the image to a correct tone and lightness so that all my images were in correct formation.
exploring filters
i chose this still life painting because it was appealing to my work and i could find the objects in the painting easily.
to recreate the painting i needed to find pieces of the image and these are the ones that i picked.
i tried to find objects that looked as similar to the image as possible.
one by one i changed the appearance of each of the pieces needed to the best of my ability in the short space of time i had.
with multiple layers i created this in my final piece.
i used the art history brush and changed the opacity on each layer to control what could be seen
i also moved each layer to overlap the objects if one was in front of the other.
i did a screen shot of this final piece as it was the only remaining work i could do because i missed a lesson. i am not happy with my final piece because i do not think that it looks satisfactory and i am sure my teacher would agree with me. i think that if i had enough time and increase my skills and ability to a higher level then i would have been happy with my work knowing i did as much as i could.
