illustrator

in illustrator i made some shapes and lines using the direct selection tool

to do this i dragged and clicked in the method i was showed
after that i used the fill tool to change the colors of the shapes and lines
i first tried to do a dot to dot drawing of a duck
as you can see i need more practice with the line tool

i also changed the color of the lines and the thickness by increasing the stroke point.

the difference between the selection tool and the direct selection tool is that
the selection tool - selects a whole object or multiple points at a time
the direct selection tool - selects only a section of an object or a singular point at a time

i scanned in my drawing and used it for my illustrator piece .

i then went on to using shape tools and the pen tools to start to outline the main lines that i found.

i think the shapes tool was really easy to use and helped me to line out objects and then add on points for more sophisticated shapes.

i found this time consuming because i made the mistake of not anchoring most of the lines and i had to make up part of my own time to do as much as i could.

after a lot of figuring out how to add and take away points on each line i finally completed the lines that i wanted.

i then went on to changing some of the line texture to a brush style stroke 

i think if i had enough time i would have used a variety of different line styles.

after this i added color using the fill and stoke apparatus 

instead of using the colors that normally would have coloured this piece in . i used bright colors which i find very interesting 

it showed a certain view of the drawing on how i perceived it.

regretfully i couldn't add as much detail because of the limited time that i had on the piece 

this included some trees and most of the windows.

i added the brush style lines on part of this piece so that it showed comparison to what the lines normally would have looked like.

i enjoyed using illustrator to create this piece  because i found using the software to be very easily usable even thought i struggled it was primarily my own fault and i have learned a lot from my experience with illustrator.
